IT Specialist
Steady Energy is a Finnish nuclear technology company developing the LDR-50 small modular reactor (SMR) to deliver safe, scalable, and carbon-free heat production for district heating and industrial applications. We are looking for a skilled IT Specialist to strengthen our organization´s IT services and take responsibility for our day-to-day IT processes. The role has first responsibility of ensuring that end-user devices, Microsoft 365 services, and meeting room technologies operate reliably, efficiently, and securely. The role participates actively in developing Steady´s IT environment, services, processes, and overall practices. This includes a wide range of activities from identifying improvement opportunities to implementing new technologies or services as well as contributing to standardization, security, and documentation in alignment with changing business needs. The role takes ownership of hands-on end-user support, administration of modern cloud services, and technical troubleshooting in a dynamic business environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Developing IT services, operational processes, and end-user experience.
- Providing technical expertise and IT support to organizational members through managing service requests, guiding in use of various applications, and troubleshooting device- and access-related issues.
- Administrating the Microsoft 365 environment, including user, group and license management, Exchange Online, Teams and SharePoint administration, and access management.
- Managing the lifecycle of workstations, mobile devices, hardware, and software, through update deployment, configuration, security measures, and procurement support.
- Developing and maintaining IT documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge management practices
- Supporting the implementation of information security policies and controls while contributing to the development of a secure, resilient, and compliant IT environment.
- Maintaining Microsoft Intune and endpoint management solutions as well as IT asset inventory management.
- Ensuring the functionality of meeting room AV equipment and video conferencing solutions in coordination with external vendors and service providers.
- Working with external partners and vendors to deliver reliable and efficient IT services
- Participating in versatile development activities through identifying opportunities as well as planning, testing, and implementing new IT solutions and technologies (e.g. automation).
- Participating in service reviews, issue escalation, and supplier performance monitoring.
- Utilizing Microsoft 365 and Power Platform capabilities to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree in Information Technology or equivalent practical experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in IT support and/or system administration in modern workplace environments.
- Experience working in cloud-first environments and Microsoft 365 ecosystems.
- Knowledge of Windows workstation management, Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager, Microsoft Teams, and Exchange Online.
- Basic networking and troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of information security controls and identity management.
- Fluency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of device compliance, conditional access, and endpoint security concepts.
- Strong service-oriented mindset with the ability to manage versatile tasks simultaneously.
- Collaborative and solution-focused approach to issue resolution and daily work.
- Strong interest in emerging technologies and continuous learning.
- Experience with automation tools such as PowerShell is considered an advantage.
Preferred:
- Experience with Microsoft security solutions, including Entra ID (Azure AD) and relevant certifications.
- AV technology and Apple device management experience.
- ITIL knowledge, experience, and/or certification.
- Understanding information security principles, cybersecurity frameworks, and relevant standards (e.g. ISO/IEC 27001).

Other Terms and Conditions:
The position requires a security clearance conducted by the Finnish Security and Intelligence Service (Supo). Employment is subject to passing clearance.
